Congratulations to Jennifer Beck, the former head of MWW's Trenton office, on her election to the New Jersey Assembly. Jennifer survived and prospered despite an ethically challenged campaign by her opponent that made intentionally false and misleading accusations against her. Jen showed that by running a focused campaign, telling the truth and having the strength to withstand her opponent's negative tactics, that often the best person does actually win an election. Once again, this showed that the public is often smarter than politicians give them credit for being...and for those of you who read this blog frequently and know that I usually support Democrats, you will be glad to know that Jen is a Republican.
I also want to congratulate our Director of New Media, Tom Biro, on the election of his mother as the Mayor or Matawan, New Jersey. In a town where there has been a Republican mayor for approximately 46 years, and has never elected a woman as mayor, this was an incredible victory for Tom and his family.
