Faith Healers vs. Science...The President Issues His First Veto

With all of the problems facing the United States and the world...and with all of the ridiculous legislation passed in the last 5 years, President Bush has chosen to use the first veto of his presidency to continue his attack on stem cell research. It is almost impossible to believe that he is once again siding with right wing faith healers over science and the urgent need to promote stem cell research. Even many leading conservative Republicans strongly disagree with him on this issue. With the promise of finding cures for spinal cord injuries and Alzheimer's...just to name a few potential cures...it borders on criminal that the President would take this position. This President and his supporters would rather dispose of a dead fetus than use it to help the lives of millions of people.
The Congress has the power to override this lunacy. The country is watching.

in addition to keeping us from finding cures to diabetes, Alzheimer's and other chronic diseases -- setting those cures back decades, at the very least -- he's also doing his best to protect us from those dangerous gay people. Thank God his he's got his priorities straight....
