Katherine Harris: The woman who made Bush President offers more wisdom
August 31, 2006

kharris.jpgAs scary as it may be, the woman who made George Bush the 42nd President of the United States (along with his pals on the Supreme Court) is running for the U.S. Senate from Florida. As you recall, she was the corrupt Florida Secretary of State who manipulated the law to carry her state for Bush. Now, she has become a gigantic embarrassment to the Republican Party and is once again proving that she is either nuts, very dangerous…or most likely both. What is most scary is that her remarks on the separation of church and state and the role of religion in politics is not far from the mainstream of the Republican Party…unfortunately for the Republicans, she is just too stupid to hide behind their typical disingenuous rhetoric that pretends to say one thing while doing another on this topic.

Thank you for bringing this matter to your blog. This woman's views are very dangerous for our Democracy, but typical of the attitudes we hear in Washington these days. I will add it to _Tsunami of Blood_ as well. Further, I will provide a link both to your blog and the MWW web site. Best regards, Skip Conover

Hi Michael,
Her latest speech should have had some background music---Onward Christian Soldiers, Marching etc etc.
She actually admonished the crowd to vote ONLY for Christians. I believe most Christians would be embarrassed to have her as their spokesperson.

This is so true. I've been watching this woman for some time and cannot believe the things that come from her mouth. And you're right, her views are not far from what the mainstream Republican believes, which is scary because it shows that there is a movement out there that is pusing for an American theocracy revolving around Christianity. So for alerting the public to that, I must thank her. Now I know that there is yet another political monster out there to be wary of. If I didn't like or trust the Republican way of thinking before, I surely don't now.
