MWW GROUP IS TWO FOR TWO...PICKS UP SECOND AGENCY OF THE YEAR AWARD

In addition to the excitement of finally seeing America turn decidedly "blue," the last few weeks have seen an incredible series of awards and recognition for MWW Group, our client programs, and some of our key team members. A few weeks ago, we were named Mid-Size Public Relations Agency of the Year by PRNews, our second Agency of the Year distinction in 2006 (several months ago, we were named Agency of the Year by the prestigious Holmes Report). By challenging ourselves everyday, MWW Group and its people were once again recognized for our laser-like focus on client service, strategic and creative programming and flawless execution. I am personally grateful to the tireless efforts and forward thinking of our people who continue to propel us to the front of our industry. New initiatives like our DialogueMedia new media practice as well as major commitments to establish leadership positions in key practice areas such as Corporate Social Responsibility, Consumer Lifestyle Marketing and Crisis Communications continue to make MWW Group an organization where people want to grow their careers and clients choose to partner with to grow their businesses.

In addition to our Agency of the Year wins, I am also grateful to PRNews for their recognition of several MWW Group client programs including our breakout work for Bank of America and the Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation. Congratulations are also in order to our Financial Relations Board division for their award winning work for Alpha Natural Resources.

One of the things I am most proud of in building this company has been our ability to attract, retain and help grow hundreds of young and talented people into public relations superstars. No two people embody that success, both as professionals and as people, as our very own Vice Presidents, Emily Buchanan and Joe Cohen.

I am very happy to announce that Emily Buchanan was named one of PR News’ "15 to Watch." The competition honors 15 budding PR leaders and creative practitioners in the PR industry.

Her accolade in the All Stars issue – hot off the press – begins, "Emily Buchanan is the PR equivalent of a Big Mac, supersized… certainly an outstanding client manager and expert in the food and restaurant field..." is an understatement in describing Emily. She is an extremely talented professional, a great mentor and manager to her teams, and incredible at client service.

Emily is credited with leading the great work we do for many of our top clients including McDonald’s, Time Warner Center, Hain Celestial and others. Her enthusiasm is contagious to her clients and the teams she leads. I am incredibly proud of her and very impressed with her knowledge, professionalism, can-do attitude and dedication to her work, her clients and the agency.

I am also thrilled to announce that PR Week has recognized Joe Cohen as one of its "10 Rising Stars of the Year." Joe's creativity, never say die attitude and dedication come through everyday for his clients ranging from Bally Total Fitness to The Palm and Sara Lee. His mentoring of his staff and his MWW Group spirit have made him one of the most popular and talented people at our agency. Joe is a positive example to all who know him...creating long lasting relationships with clients and colleagues alike. As I am fond of saying, "Joe goes the extra mile for people, so they go the extra two miles for him."
